First of all is a list of accessories and details to get together to create some beautiful detail shots for you to savour and remember forever.

Perfect timing…
As they say, “timing is everything!” – This couldn’t be more true for your wedding day.
I like allocate around at least 2 hours for bridal getting ready photos, this includes about 15-20 minutes in the beginning to capture all the details, before your hair and make up is finished and then getting some shots of you and your girls popping the bubbles in your pj’s!!
When its time to get into your dress, I usually recommend that your bridemaids/mum… whoever is going to help you into your dress is already dressed, that way it makes your photos look nicer and more polished..
Once you have your dress on… then its time for the added details – jewellery, perfume, flowers.
As a rule of thumb, add an extra 15 minutes to every event on your timeline to allow a buffer, just in case.

Perfect timing…
Gentlemen: Get ready earlier than you think
I usually capture the guys first on the way to the bride. This way you guys get to have your photos taken and then relax before you have to leave for the ceremony.
Believe it or not, The photos of the guys can be done in about 30 minutes! But if the guys are still walking around in boxers when I arrive, you can easily turn 30 minutes into an hour long process & run late or have to skip important photos.
To make sure the photos are as quick & painless as possible, make sure all the guys are showered & dressed in pants & a dress shirt at least 30 mins before I’ll be arriving.
Keep the jackets, watches, boutonnieres & ties off until i get there.
Perfect light, perfect space, perfect photos….
Getting ready tips…..Make sure that the space you’re getting ready in is tidy, or at least there is one room that is clean and tidy for you to get into your dress in….
Clear away the clutter, bags, shoes, clothes that you’re not wearing, all of these in the background of the photos make them look cluttered and busy and takes away that polished look.
Having beautiful light for your getting ready photos will mean that your whole wedding gallery will flow perfectly, the light can make such a difference to how the photos turn out. If you are hiring a place to get ready, look for a place with lots of windows and natural light, and neutral decor…
Food, Drink, Music and Besties…
Make sure that you have plenty of snacks on hand, fresh fruit, cheese… all those good things get one of your bridesmaids to make up a platter first thing in the morning and that way you can all snack on it throughout the morning.
Drink plenty of water throughout the morning and a glass of bubbles is never a bad idea and makes for a cute shot with your besties!!
Having a “Getting Ready” Playlist on spotify is also a great idea to set the mood and keep you all dancing though the day!! There are so many pre-made playlists available for wedding mornings, or put together your favourite tunes the night before.
Getting dressed and a first look…..
Getting ready tips…Make sure that everyone who is there is dressed before you, that way you have the option of doing a “first look” with your bridesmaids, besties, parents…..
Its such an emotional special moment for you, and makes it even more special when you see the looks on their faces when they see you for the first time, all dressed up as a bride….
Its easy to set up and makes for beautiful special memories…. just make sure you set aside around 10-15 minutes to do this….
The most important thing…..
Getting ready tips…Enjoy yourself…… Have the best time with your besties and family, before going on to marry the love of your life….
