Emily and Josh chose a beautiful church in Cashmere to exchange their vows, surrounded by the people who matter most. There’s something so special about a church ceremony—the anticipation as the doors open, the emotion on everyone’s faces, and the quiet moments shared between a couple as they promise forever.

After the ceremony, we made our way into the heart of Christchurch for portraits at one of my favorite wedding photography locations—the Arts Centre.

With its historic stone architecture, grand archways, ivy-covered walls and hidden courtyards, The Arts Centre offers an incredible variety of backdrops within a short walking distance. It has a distinctly European feel while remaining unmistakably Christchurch, making it perfect for couples wanting photographs that feel both editorial and timeless.

The celebrations continued at the beautiful Mona Vale, one of Christchurch’s most iconic wedding venues. Surrounded by manicured gardens, historic charm, and the peaceful Avon River, it provided the perfect setting for an elegant reception. Emily and Josh even arriving via a boat ride up the Avon.
